Would this also cause the vehicle to not start or start and hesitate

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7L V8, sometimes when you start it, it just cranks but doesn't fire on the first try. Sometimes it fires and kind of hesitates. Also it's not throwing any code for this.

So what you have is  mechanical condition. which has to be ruled out, in order for the engine to run correctly you need compression. Without  it the fuel does not ignite, low compression can be from cylinder valve you blown headgasket.  Lets say you have 2 failed ignition coil which would cause 2 cylinder to not fire, The engine would still run The CK ENG LT would flash. This is why it is important to have a compression or leak down test done ,
