The dealer just changed the timing chain, phasers, guides and 2 tensioner. Week later it threw a p0016 for cam crank correlations. Dealer says the timing is OK and sensors are suppose to be OK and say it had sludge on sensor. Well it never ran like a turtle until they fixed it. What could be the problem?? Thanks for the help.

P0016 Crankshaft- camshaft Position correlationship  Bank 1 Sensor A

P0016 is more a mechanical , where the timing chain is out of alignment, it correct to say sludge not on the sensor but in the VCT (variable cam timing ) solenoid. which is possible that would make the VCT piston stick open or the VCT solenoid is binding , Your going to have to take that chance and replace the VCT solenoid  on Bank 1 , That or you replace the primary timing chain. If you do end up replacing the primary timing chain ,Ford has a TSB about this code condition. where the timing chain wears out. You would need to use the update version that they should have. Aftermarket parts know about this condition and have timing chains that they say will resolve P0016 for Ford.
