We have an overheating problem....and the computer states repair code P1256. We do not know how to fix this issue.

This code is for the coolant temp sensor, most of the time the sensor needs replacement. If the engine is overheating however it's usually better to make the repairs needed to stop it from overheating, then if you still have the code replace the sensor.
