does a code p0463 require a new fuel pump module?

I have a Dodge Ram (2014). The engine light came on. My code reader says it's a P0463. (fuel level sensor A circuit high input). Does this mean I need to have a complete fuel pump module replacement. I'm told by one mechanic this is becoming a problem with Rams and the replacement is the only solution.

The fuel level sensor can be replaced separately, to replace the whole fuel module is required when you have problems with the regulator or the inlet fuel filter. you need to measure what your cost effective way you want.
