I had the transmission replaced for a second time in less than 25,000 miles on my 2003 Honda odyssey. It was still under warranty from the first replacement. 6 days after I brought it home, the check engine light came on so I took it to advance auto to get the codes read. Came back with p1706, P1457, 61-2 and 31-2. From what I can tell, 3 of these are transmission related. Took it back to the shop and they told me none of the codes were transmission codes(I did not have them cleared keep in mind). They cleared the codes and said everything was fine. The next day, didn't even drive 10 miles and the engine light came back on along with the TCS light. I called the shop and they told me that's normal, they always come in together. Um, I have never had the engine light come on in this vehicle except with the impending transmission failure and never has the TCS light come on. I feel like this is related to the transmission replacement but I am getting the run around because I am a woman and he doesn't want to fix it since it was all under warranty. Could these lights be a direct result of the replacement or does it just so happen to be other issues not related?

Yes no matter what the "P" code that is set , it disables the ABS system and the traction control system. the reason this is manufactuer . they do this for safety , the reason while the CK ENG LT is on you are not at manufactuer specification
