P0400 = EGR Function Close

The P0400 code on your 2000 I30 means that there is no flow through the EGR valve. Either the EGR valve is disconnected, damaged or clogged. More than likely you have a faulty EGR valve.

Try taking the EGR VALVE off and look at it check for oil clogging or silply replace the valve and the code should go away after trust me it works those valves are only there for engine fumes control try doing this, is not a simple job but you need to do it.Try to get the EGR valve from dealer since aftermarket brands are cheaper but the car's computer may not recognize or read the valve, so to do the job once buy dealer part and be done with it.

This code is normally caused by a plugged tube that runs from the head to the egr valve. Remove the tube and clean it out with a coat hanger and some carb cleaner and reinstall. This usually resolves the issue.

take your vehicle to a shop that has the Nissan Consult 2, then you will be with a good repair shop in your area.
