I have replaced the 1-2 shift solenoid as well as the 2-3 shift solenoid. Still pulling up the code P1886 on my 1997 Chevrolet Silverado 350 Vortec

P1886 this code is strictly electrical start with it fuse, in the engine fuse junction if fuse is listed as TRANS ensure that has power, This truck has a VCM big difference between a ECM or PCM, So ground wire are important, along the transmission bell housing there are ground wires those have to be properly attached , most common cause for this is not receiving ground, The VCM gives this solenoid ground , if the VCM does not have a adequate ground for this circuit it wont work and the code is set. to help with this check everything else, such as the head light , heater control , fan motors.
