does this have any thing to do with transmission to stop shifting properly ?

car started to stop shifting properly but can shift it manually

Vehicle: 2002 mazda tribune 3.0

P1409 EGR vacuum regulator

P0153 Upstream heated 02 sensor

Yes this can , but the cause of both these 2 code to occur with the transmission shifting problem will have to be with the Differential Feedback Sensor.
