What does this selinoid do and does it affect mpg?

Hi there,

The air injection solenoid adds air to the fuel as it goes into the intake manifold. This might cause a reduction in the fuel mileage because the fuel mixture won't be as lean, and also because it won't atomize the same. As a general rule you won't feel any difference in the way the car actually is running.
