Will the code 713 cause the tranny not to go in gear

It was working just fine until I was checking the fluid now it won't engaged

P0713 Transmission fluid temperature sensor voltage too high

When you set a sensor voltage high, this mean that the circuit is open or disconnected . At the transmission there is a harness that enter into the transmission check along that area for any wire that may have opened.
