Does code p1762 cause the first gear to have very little acceleration?

The engine light came on and it seemed as though I lost power in first gear, but as it progressed into second gear power was normal. I drove it two more miles and parked it in the driveway.  I drove it again the next day and it ran fine.  The loss of power only happened that once, but engine light stayed on for 4 more days.  Then the engine light went out. I brought it to a friend who plugged in his computer and it came up with this code still left behind P1762.

P1762  Govenor pressure sensor offset voltage too high or too low

You going to need a solenoid pack, the reason for the intermittent concern where the loss of power for that once is this code set when it is in Park. This is a good indication the solenoid pack is failing.
