My mechanic did a valve job on my honda, he adjusted the valves and after two weeks the check engine light appeared, the code was p0172 system too rich, I noticed a sound on the engine part when car gets warm and sometimes check engine comes on and then after a day drive it disappears but then it comes on again, so any suggestions on what it might be or what to ask the mechanic to look for? thanks

You have to be concerned with that noise, Here a step for a P0172, Check fuel pressure regulator , fuel seepage coming out of the fuel pressure regulator will cause a P0172 , if clear and no problem found, check the valve clearance and adjust if necessary. The most important is the timing belt the timing belt auto - tensioner or even the water pump would cause the camshaft timing to be off the mark.
