Accelarator Pedal Sensor on Kia Sorento 2006 4WD

Question

Error code says no communication between pedal sensor and throttle position sensor. I recently put a new throttle position sensor as my old was having the same issue. Idling changes goes up and down. I don't see pedal sensor anywhere under the pedal. What could be the issue?

You do not have a APP sensor, even if the code state a APP sensor. KIA has this problem when there is a problem with the APP sensor code and sets a APP code when it is suppose to be for the ETC (electronic throttle actuator) , You put a new TPS sensor , you would need to adjust the TPS.

Thanks for your answer Reynaldo. My idle RPM is good but when engine in running and i take of my foot from gas pedal, then the RPM is dropping suddenly and I can see like a small slow down in speed but again goes back to the normal RPM. What would be the reason you think?Appreciate your help.

Hi Reynaldo, also on Kia sorento 2006 where is idle valve control located? Electronic control module location as well?

You need to adjust the idle speed, the reason for the up and down idle is the TPS is no adjusted. If you repost I can send you instruction.
