I was driving when I lost all power a check gauges light came on had no oil pressure and engine shut down won't restart. Got it to the shop only code it's showing is a cam and crank miscorrelation. What would cause this to stop and not start again and why would this miscorrelation cause the engine to lose pressure and not start

The camshaft gear is one possible cause, The camshaft drives the distributor and the distributor drives the oil pump. What usually happens is the camshaft gear at distributor gear wear out .when this happens there is a intake back fire before the engine stalls out, This is one possible cause that you may have encountered, another one with  the engine stall with a  CAM to CKP correlation, your distributor reluctot may have shifted out of position , then the engine stalled.
