The 5 volts reference drops to 0 volts start with the most common. when you loose the 5 volt reference disconnect the oil pressure sensor is the 5 volts is restored you replace the oil pressure sensor, Provided that you truly do not have low oil pressure.
See here the 5 volt reference what share this is the oil pressure sensor, if that oil pressure sensor is shorted it will rob the 5 volt reference from its shared component , Just to let you know it very common that when a EVAP code is set the truck runs rough some people thought that the fix was the fuel cap, what they did was open the fuel cap and clear the code and the truck would run great for awhile till the EVAP code returned which would be a couple of days what they did not realize was the FTP (fuel tank pressure sensor ) had a short to power and they related it to the fuel cap .
