P0603 Internal control module KAM (keep alive memory) error

Yes the battery can contribute to this code but it does not prevent the engine from starting. The keep alive memory is the same as though you have a code that is set, and you disconnect the battery , and then code clears and now you can not get the code because it cleared. P0603 is not the problem to loose power and die out, the camshaft postion sensor where know to stall the engine out , and not even set a camshaft code. There the popular IDM (injector driver module) module these where know to stall the engine and a no start.  The fix is to get the code by doing a KOEO (key on engine off test) and then a KOER (key on engine running) . Here the problem you might get lucky with P0603 the ECM may not even remember the code and display it, But it worth the try.
