What is the purpose of the component attached to the Air/Fuel Sensor connector plug?

There is an electrical component which is part of the plug in portion of the connector attached to the air fuel ratio sensor.  In your diagram it is depicted as a small black and white square with the initials H.S. in the corner of it, and located between plugs F60 and F65.

H.S mean harness side. when it come to a connection they are sometime reffered to as the male side or female side, The correct terminology is to use terms as the terminal connection and the harness connection
