Timer message is on how do i get it off

My  2011 f150 has a timer message on where it tells me the mils and mils to empty why is it on and how do I get it off

This is the DTE (distance to empty) once the warning is displayed you have to acknowledge it, by pressing the Reset button or the OK button ,
