I have a 2005 Ford Ranger 3.0 with the P0453 code. I had some engine work done recently and was wondering if a wire or hose could be loose or backwards under the hood and cause this error? This code showed up the next day after the work was performed. Thanks,
Vehicle: 2005 Ford Ranger 3.0 v6

P0453 Fuel tank pressure sensor circuit high

Circuit high code mean just that a disconnected sensor of either its reference voltage or its signal return, The reffernce voltage is shared with the TPS connection, you would have to have a bad contact there and more likely it would set other codes. This possibility is slightly that it is not connected as this is a harness, unless the FTP sensor wire  is tested , if there is reference voltage and a signal for the return , this would be a fauly FTP or disconnected FTP sensor
