I see on the service bulletin and Reynaldo says that shims are needed when replacing the output speed sensor. Why isn't the part made to not use shims? Are there shims already in the transmission case? If the sensor I get is the same exact size as the one removed would shims still be needed? I don't see shims listed with the replacement part. Also with shims won't the part not sit flush with the transmission case and will be raised? I could just get the same part from a used 2011 altima so would shims be need too?

If the transmission is a CVT transmission you would need the shim and it would come with the new one, If it not a CVT if should be flushed. being a 2011 most are CVTs

I contacted the parts place and they say no shim comes with the part. Is it possible it's a direct fit? The transmission is a cvt. Or can I just get one from the junkyard for direct fit?

Can I check the ohms on the sensor to see if it's good?

Here a TSB # NTB11-042 I had the same problem with a output speed sensor and the code returning, so I went with this TSB and away the car went. This is new bulletin that Nissan put out there plaque with this code problem

It is CVT. No one sells that part with shims. I saw the service manual showing them. The shims do NOT come with my part. Where would I get the shims ????

When I had this problem and seen the TSB for this code I used aluminum washers which where seal for MBZ
