Where is shift sylonoid f located does a shop have to fix it?

My car is throwing the p2706 code. And has no power can we fix it or do you have to drop the transmission

P2706 this is the solenoid. it is strickly electrical if you waited to long it can short out its driver in the PCM, you do not have to remove the transmission for this job
