how do I fix code 1148 on a 2006 nissan sentra 1.8 ?

The check engine light is on , got  1148 code and I need to smog it soon. Can you please help..

Hi there

This code is for a faulty front A/F sensor. Bank 1 sensor 1. This is the first O2 sensor in the system BEFORE the catalytic converter. Most of the time the sensor itself is the problem and once replaced the code will clear on it's own. You could have an issue with the wiring or the computer, but the most common problem is the sensor itself.
