Could a loose connection at the cam position sensor cause a p1014 code

I had the cam seal replaced and the sensor had to be removed in order to replace the seal

It is possible. If the cam sensor is losing signal then it might cause the code because the computer can't see the sensor. So, one sensor would be showing and the other not.
