this code p1406 showed up as no description available do anybody know what this code is for.and also code p0420 means or what can be done to fixed the problem..

This code is for the egr pintal position. This code occurs when the egr is in the wrong position. A lot of times this is the result of a dirty egr valve.

The P0420 code is for a faulty bank 1 catalytic converter. This code usually requires replacement of the converter, but sometimes can be the result of a poorly running engine, exhaust leak or a bad rear O2 sensor.
