Trailblazer 4x4 not working

Question

The 4 wheel drive no longer works and none of the lights are illuminated on the selector switch. The car has a U1000 code. What should I do? Thanks

Check the fuse box located in the front hood on the left side , you have a  atc fuse number 8 please check the circuit or replace the fuse
