P0418 Secondary air injection (AIR) pump control circuit

Yes you can drive this, what the secondary air injection does is warm up the catalytic convertor at a cold start up to bring it up to operating temperature faster, since you will have no drivability ,most of the time its only on for just less than a minute ,  it takes a ECM just to tell you there is a problem. P0418 when this code set, the secondary air injection relay should be suspected, the operating fuse is 50 amps, and its the relay that tends to develop high resistance on its terminal ends, . in the engine fuse box use the cover  for a map location of the relay take it out and reinsert it. this may help , it tends to clear out any corrosion that developed on the relay. In some cases its the secondary air injection pump. but the relay should always be checked first.
