Will p0017 code repeat if oil leak continues

I need to make repairs a little at a time.  If an oil leak, which I do have, is not corrected before I replace the camshaft will that p0017 code continue?

This code can be the result of low oil, so if you have an oil leak and the oil level is getting low, the code will reappear. This can also be the result of a bad cam or crank position sensor as well. Mechanical issues like the timing being off will cause this code too.
