I have a code P0505, I replaced the IACV, and it reset the code and I still have the code

Question

On my 2001 Nissan Maxima 3.0L, I have a code P0505, I replaced the IACV, and it reset the code and I still have the code. Is ECM a possible problem?

Hi there

It is possible, but on these older Nissans it's easier to reset the IAC with a scan tool then doing it manually. Also, if you used an aftermarket IAC it could still cause the problem. What I normally see is possible blown fuses under the hood that can cause the code to come back as well.
