Overheat problems

Question

I have a 1997 ford expedition and I change the thermostat,coolant,temp sensor but they told me I have 2 sensors one that goes to the ecm and other that control the gauge  where are both located and what can I do it I still hAve the same problem am getting code 1299

P1299 Cylinder head temperature sensor (CHT)

This code is for the cylinder head temperature sensor , to access it you would need to remove the intake manifold. This code is not usually CHT sensor , but the operation of the cooling fan clutch, when the engine is cold the cooling fan blade should easily spin (with the engine off ) when the engine is warmed up with the engine off , check the fan clutch , there should be resistance when you try and spin the fan.
