A couple weeks ago, I went to change the spark plugs because I was getting misfire codes p0300 p00301 p00303 and p00305.  I noticed plugs 1 and 3 had oil/gas on them.  So I changed the valve cover gasket.  During the repair, I noticed that I had broken the cam position sensor so I replaced it.  All of the misfire codes went away after I changed the plugs and coil on #5 and haven't returned.  Car is running great but I still get a P0008 code popping up that wasn't there before I did the other repairs.  So, I don't know if there's another sensor that could be malfunctioning or if there is a serious problem that I can't find.  Engine runs like it's brand new, has all the power and torque it did when it was new and there are no more misfires.

HI there

Since the car is running fine I would use a factory cam sensor and replace the one you replaced. If the cam sensor is't reading properly, it could cause this code. While the code does mean there is a mechanical timing chain issue, it wouldn't run well if there was a mechanical issue.
