I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima 3.5L showing code P0128.

Question

The temperature gauge doesn't move off of cold and there is no heat. I replaced the thermostat (it was stuck open), and filled with new 50/50 mix coolant. The gauge still doesn't move and still no heat. Still showing P0128.

HI there,

It's important to fill the car properly and the bleed the air out of the system properly. If you have an air pocket in the system this can prevent the thermostat from opening properly and cause the lack of heat. With these the radiator has to be the highest point, so jack stands or car ramps are a must to get all the air out.
