error on turbo/super charger overboost condtion after cleared is ok?

i got check engine light and got code P0234,. THey reset the light to go off. It has been real coold could it just have had trouble starting

Yes a misfire condition would cause P0234, The MAP or boost sensor would go over a specific value, then this code would set.
