Why does my "Service Brakes Soon" text come up at 45MPH?

Issue has occurred since I bought the truck used in 2010. Just had an independent repair shop check brakes. Replaced front rotors and pads, saw no other problems. I do see that brake fluid is very dark.

The Brake fluid level sensor could be stuck in the low position. setting a intermediate condition with service brake light. The fluid level sensor are serviceable component
