Is it safe to drive a few days.

I got the code P0171 on Sunday and the mechanic can't see me until Friday. Is it safe to drive, I haven't noticed a drop in power, only thing I've noticed different was that the RPM gauge was moving up and down when I was on cruise control but it stopped once the car was completely warmed up.
