What's the easiest way to change the shaft out put speed sensor in 2002 vw beetle

Wanting to see if this is possible a diy project the sensor is not expensive and the saleswoman at the part house made it sound like it's not a major project?

Hi there,

This is a fairly easy project. You will have to remove some of the stuff to get to it, but it's bolted to the transmission. Here is a diagram to help.
