How to clear a P0455 code on a '05 Chevy Equinox?

I have replaced the gas cap, and purge solenoid (twice) and have not found any leaks in the hoses.  What else could be throwing this code?  I cannot get it through emissions testing to get my registration current....

Have you checked the condition of the pistons? Could be a bad vacuum from the induction stroke.
