How serious is code p1437 on a 2003 Prius

I am randomly getting the code p1437 on my 2003 Toyota Prius. 241490 miles. In Montana so weather has been below freezing to just above.

P1437 Vacuum line malfunction

This is for the VSC (HC absorber and catalyst system). The purpose of the CK ENG LT is to protect the catalytic convertor, and the catalytic convertor protect the environment from harmful emission emitted into the atmosphere, The problem about setting a CK ENG LT is the ABS system becomes disabled , the reason you are no longer at manufactuer specification. Obviously the code is set due to temperature related. but it is to your advantage that you check to make sure the vauum hose are in good shape. cold can cause the vacuum hose to become brittle and deteriate
