2007 Honda CR-V 2007 with P0685 error code / engine shuts down

while driving check engine light comes up periodically, engine shuts down occasionally but restarts when car is on neutral on ignition started. on scanning i get a PO685 error code, when scanned with another scanner , i dont get any P0685 code

P0685 Power Control Module (PCM) power control circuit / internal circuit malfunction

Try this step first, when this code set is due to the PCM not shutting down when the ignition is in the off position. replace the PGM-FI main relay, in rare instance it the relay that gets stuck in the on position. There have been some cases where relays are at fault especially on Hondas and some other product where the relay is stuck in the on position thus draining the battery.
