I have a 05 Nissan maxima 3.5 5 speed and a p0726 code comes out what it can be

I would like to know how can I fix the code that shows up for my 05 Nissan maxima 3.5L 5 speed 6v car is driving me crazy everyone tells me I need a new transmission what should I do???

HI there,

This code means there is a communication issue between the transmission control module and the ecm. This doesn't usually mean the transmission is the problem. Most often it's a wiring harness issue between the ecm and the tcm, some cases it's a problem with the tcm itself. So, honestly I would have a transmission shop or Nissan look at it.
