Does code p0712 couse shifting to slip?

My truck got the p0712 code and my transmition is sliping on 2nd gear ,,,is it the sensore or is it my transmition?

Slipping in second gear, this is the sensor the repair would consist of replacing the main control assembly of the transmission, Depending on the mileage it may be cost effective replacing the transmission
