Why won't my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L wont shift to 5th or 6th gear?

My check engine light came on, and as I was driving, I noticed my truck didn't shift to 5th gear. I used the manual shift, and it only went to 4th gear. I went to the auto part store to check the code, it was p0016.

P0016 Crankshaft / camshaft misalignment

When this code is set , you would notice there is a rough idle. This code tends to be a mechanical condition, Even though this engine does have a variable timing solenoid, it seldom is the cause,For this code condition there is going to have to be a considerable amount of investigation. either the timing chain, or the crankshaft,  The CKP toner is at the engine crankshaft, Listen for any noise this would help to determine the problem. especially at the timing chain area
