P0340 sensor error toyota avensis verso 2003

Question

The orange light burns. reading the error code P0340.
The garage has replaced the cam shaft position sensor.
 
The sensor code was reset before restart, but during the restart the code was immediately replaced and the orange light burns again.
The  Battery is ok and the starter-motor works fine, but starting the motor takes some time. Longer than normal.

Is there any knowledge if there is any other problem known with the issue of error code P0340.

HI there,

This sounds like a problem with the mechanical timing on the engine. This will set the code because the crank and cam aren't syncronized. This would also explain the hard starting.
