Replaceed the o2 sensor on a 97 Nissan Maxima (bank 1 sensor 1) reset the engine light and drove a 100 miles. The engine light just came on again and the same sensor code popped up.

Hi there,

It's not unusual to replace the wrong sensor. This is the rear bank of the engine closest to the firewall and the sensor is above the catalytic converter. If this is the one you replaced check for any vacuum leaks or issues with an exhaust leak. Also, check the wiring harness very close, sometimes they will rub on the engine and cause a short.
