My ODB  II reader states: P2253 - O2 Sensor negative current control circuit high bank 1 sensor 1. There is no such code listed in my owners manual. I also have a P0135 code reading which is pretty straight forward (HO2S Heater performance sensor bank 1 sensor 1). I have a feeling these codes are connected in some way. The engine is starting to run poorly. thanks for your help.

HI there,

These codes are related and both point to a problem with the bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor.

DTC P2253 HO2S Low Reference Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 1 this code is referring to the signal circuit while the other code is referring to the heater circuit. In most cases replacing the bank 1 front O2 sensor will resolve the problem.

Bank 1 is the bank closest to the radiator.
