The car has a slight gas smell when driving and the engine light is on.   A neighbor did a test and said it was the P2103

You may just have 2 problem instead of this one code condition, With P2103 you would not smell fuel . Check the fuel pump area under the rear seat. THe fuel pump can develop of small crack either way the fuel smell jhas to be investigated. As for P2103 this is a fused protected component the first step is to check the fuse, listed as #53.
