PLEASE HELP!!! Dodge Ram 1500, 5.2 Liter.

Question

Getting trouble code 1494-Leak Detection Pump.. I  did some research and what I found is that this could be a vacuum leak. So check all my lines found some problems and fix them . So I guess my question is if my truck is running fine now is there any reason to change that leak detection pump other than passing emissions or is it going to make my truck not run right? All your help is much appreciated

The number one cause for a P1494 is vacuum line which tends to rot and either Crack or break away, The LDP will only run at certain times during a EVAP command, you would not know it is on , and it takes a ECM just to tell you if there a fault, The LDP itself hardly ever is replaced,
