2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.7 Hemi. replaced EGR and code po404 cam on. Any explanation

replaced ERG 3 weeks ago and now the engine light came on and throwing code po404. what could the cause be

P0404 EGR position sensor performance

This code that is set, if it is not a partial pluged EGR passage, It needs to be tested for its proper voltage , The first test that should be performed is its ground, Its ground wire is the BK / WHT wire this is the chasis ground
