what needs fixing if i'm getting an error code P228C

My Fiesta has no power when I accelerate and it often won't start.  It cuts out when I drive over 2000 revs per minute.
I took it to a guy who has a computer which gave us a P228C code.
What does this mean and how do I fix it?
