duramax code P0741

Question

I have a 06 gmc 2500hd LLY... the tranny has been running hot and sometimes overheating but still shifts and goes through all the gears just fine. Fluid levels seem fine but it does not always want to go into overdrive but still does from time to time and the mil light is on giving me a P0741 code.

P0741 Torque convertor clutch system stuck off

When you set P0741 you will mot have overdrive, Beside this code the overheating condition has to be resolved. Depending on the transmission that you have there has been Recall for the transmission control module to be reprogrammed
