what do i need to fix this code p1491 ?

Question

I have engine hesitation once the car is warmed up . when i stop at a stop light the car starts shaking more but the car won't turn off on me but it will hesitate the longer i drive but the funny thing about it stops doing it then it starts again when it wants to.
Ive took it to different mechanics and they can't seem to figure it out . can anybody please help me??

P1491 Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve insufficient lift

The condition that you describe does reflect a EGR that is causing the problem this code can be confusing , If the EGR was slightly stuck in  the open position you can set a P0300 which is a random misfire, This code does not mean that the EGR is not lifting it mean it does not see its position, The problem you have is the EGR
